The Location...
UEA is the perfect base for exploring the East Anglia region. We frequently accommodate groups with many varying interests. Walkers and cyclists, boating enthusiasts and birdwatchers, painters and photographers, there's something for all.
We are a few minutes away from the heritage city of Norwich. Cobbled streets, beautiful cathedral and a castle. There are dozens of tiny churches and plenty of pubs. Reputedly there was once a church for every week and a pub for every day!
Within an hour you can find the glorious North Norfolk coast with never ending beaches and windswept marshes. The famous Norfolk Broads are also close by.
If it's convenience you're looking for, you can find a variety of restaurants, shops, banks, a laundrette and a post office within the central campus.

For sports enthusiasts, on campus you will also find the £17.6m Sportspark with its Olympic size pool, huge indoor arena, athletics track and facilities for over 40 sports.
Art lovers can find something to interest them too, all on the same campus. UEA is the home of the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, housing the Sir Robert and Lisa Sainsbury art collection. Within the city we have the Theatre Royal and several cinemas and museums.

The Norwich Research Park is a pleasant 15 minute walk through the campus and countryside (or five minutes by car); Both the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and the Spire Healthcare hospital are also within easy reach.
